CUET Syllabus 2024-25 Overview

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has established the syllabus for candidates taking the Central University Entrance Test. The CUET syllabus 2024-25 will assist students in developing a firm understanding of the subjects and units required to prepare for the entrance exam. Here we have given brief information regarding the CUET 2025 Syllabus NTA.

CUET UG Syllabus 2025 Section wise

The CUET UG syllabus 2025 will assist students in developing a firm understanding of the disciplines and units needed to prepare for the entrance exam. NTA will administer the CUET Exam in 13 other languages in an online mode (Computer Based Test). The CUET UG will have three sections from 2025 onwards.

The UGC has revised the exam structure of the CUET recently. These sections are: One for language (the foreign language section has been scrapped), one for each domain subject, and one for the general test. CUET UG Syllabus 2025

Section I : Language to be tested through Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages–Factual, Literary and Narrative, [Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary].

CUET Syllabus for PCM Students 2025

The CUET syllabus 2025 for the PCM students will be same as the PCB students with just one difference. The CUET PCM syllabus consists of Physics, chemistry and mathematics subject while the PCB syllabus consists of Physics, chemistry and Biology subjects. The syllabus topics for the physics and chemistry will remain the same. In place of biology, students will have to prepare from the mathematics subject.

CUET UG Syllabus 2025 for Languages

The CUET language course includes a total of 13 languages. The language section IIB has now been removed (which earlier consisted of 20 languages). The language syllabus for the Common University Entrance Test consists of 50 questions, of which applicants must answer all of them. CUET Exam Pattern 2025

Understanding the exam format, in addition to the CUET Exam Syllabus 2025, is essential for aspiring students. The CUET test is divided into three sections: Languages, Domain, and General Test. The CUET exam pattern has been recently revised as per the recommendations of the UGC.

Candidates' language skills will be assessed in Section I using reading comprehension passage questions. Section II has 23 subjects from which a candidate may select a maximum of six. Section III contains the General Test.

The Candidate must refer to the requirements of his/her desired university when selecting Languages from Section I and a maximum of 5 Subjects from Section II and General Test under Section III. Check out the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2025 Question Paper Design below.

Languages (13):  Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi and Urdu.

CUET Marking Scheme

As per the CUET marking scheme 2025,

• 5 marks will be awarded for each correct answer.
• 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• No marks will be given for unanswered or marked-for-review questions.
• If more than 1 option is correct, 5 marks will be awarded to those who select any of the correct options.
• If all options are correct, 5 marks will be given to all candidates who attempt the question.
• If no options are correct or the question is flawed, all candidates who attempt the question will receive 5 marks.
