SSC CGL Syllabus and Exam Pattern

The SSC CGL Syllabus consists of General Knowledge, Current Affairs, English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and Computer Knowledge. These are subjects from which questions are asked in Tier 1 and Tier 2. Along with it, Typing tests will be conducted for some posts. SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern

The SSC CGL Tier-I exam is a computer-based test comprising 100 objective questions. It includes four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Each section carries 25 questions for 50 marks. Also, there is a negative marking of 0.50 mark for wrong answers.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

The SSC CGL Tier-II exam is computer-based with three papers: Paper-I (Compulsory for all, covering quantitative aptitude, reasoning, and English), Paper-II (Statistics), and Paper-III (General Studies: Finance and Economics). Skill tests may apply for specific posts. 

Paper-I will take place in two sessions, Session-I and Session-II, on the same day and is mandatory for all candidates who qualify for it. Session-I will cover Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III, while Session-II will focus on Module-II of Section-III. Candidates must qualify in all sections of Paper-I to proceed.
