WBPSC Clerkship Selection Process 2025
The WBPSC Clerkship 2025 Exam will be conducted in two stages: Part I (Objective Type) and Part II (Conventional Type - Written). The Commission will conduct the Part-I examination first. Only a limited number of candidates who obtain qualifying marks in the Part I Exam will be allowed to appear in the Part II Exam. The candidates must qualify in Part I and Part II before their computer knowledge and typing ability are assessed.
Part 1 :
- 100 Objective Type Questions
- 1 mark for correct answers and a deduction of 0.25 marks for the wrong answer
Part 2 :
- Written Examination
- Groups- English and Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali
Computer Knowledge and Typing Ability :
- Only for candidates qualified in Part-I and Part-II

WBPSC Clerkship Part 1 Exam Pattern
- WBPSC Clerkship Part-I Exam carries 100 marks having 100 Multiple Choice Questions
- Subjects included in the WBPSC Clerkship Part 1 Exam are English, General Studies and Arithmetic.
- The duration of the WBPSC Clerkship Part-I examination will be 1 hour and 30 minutes (90 minutes).
- For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be marked as a penalty.

WBPSC Clerkship Part 2 Exam consists of descriptive and conventional-type questions. Group A contains questions from the English language and Group B consists of questions from Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali and each group carries 50 marks. The duration of the Part II examination shall be 1 hour (60 minutes).
